Telehealth Therapy Services

Flexible, Effective, and Research-Backed Care—Wherever You Are

At our Jennifer Olson-Madden, PhD, LLC, we offer secure, HIPAA-compliant telehealth therapy to support adults navigating stress, anxiety, burnout, and life transitions. Whether you’re a busy professional, a parent with limited time, or someone who simply prefers the convenience of therapy from home, telehealth offers a proven, flexible way to access high-quality care.

Benefits of Telehealth Therapy

Telehealth makes therapy more accessible, consistent, and convenient, especially for individuals who:

  • Work long hours or have unpredictable schedules

  • Are parents or caregivers with limited flexibility

  • Prefer not to commute across the Denver Metro Area

  • Live in rural or underserved areas

  • Experience anxiety, burnout, or overwhelm that make in-person visits more challenging

Clients often report that teletherapy allows them to feel more relaxed, focused, and consistent in their therapeutic work—simply by being in a comfortable, familiar space.

What to Expect

You’ll receive the same level of personalized, evidence-based care as you would in person:

  • Sessions grounded in CBT, ACT, and mindfulness

  • Guidance on values-based living, stress reduction, and emotion regulation

  • Space to explore your goals, gain clarity, and create sustainable change

Is Telehealth as Effective as In-Person Therapy?

Yes—research consistently shows that teletherapy is just as effective as in-person therapy for a wide range of psychological concerns.

  • A 2020 meta-analysis published in the Journal of Affective Disorders found that video-based therapy is equally effective as face-to-face therapy for reducing symptoms of anxiety and depression.

  • The American Psychological Association (APA) supports telepsychology as a valid and evidence-based form of treatment, particularly when using approaches like Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), and mindfulness-based interventions.

  • What matters most is not the format—but the strength of the therapeutic relationship and the use of evidence-based interventions, which we prioritize in every session.

Safe, Private & Professional

All sessions are conducted through a HIPAA-compliant, secure video platform to protect your privacy. Just like in-person therapy, your information and sessions are fully confidential. You can attend from any quiet, private location—home office, car, or wherever you feel most effective.

The Effectiveness and Convenience of Online Therapy

Over the past decade—and especially since the global shift prompted by the COVID-19 pandemic—virtual counseling has emerged as a highly effective and evidence-based method for delivering psychological care. Numerous studies have demonstrated that teletherapy is comparable in effectiveness to in-person therapy for a wide range of mental health concerns, including anxiety, depression, stress, PTSD, and adjustment disorders.

A comprehensive review published in the Journal of Affective Disorders (2020) found that video-based therapy is equally effective as face-to-face therapy in reducing symptoms of depression and anxiety, with outcomes largely dependent on the strength of the therapeutic relationship rather than the delivery method. Similarly, the American Psychological Association (APA) has acknowledged telepsychology as a valid and effective mode of treatment, especially when guided by established therapeutic models such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), and mindfulness-based interventions.

For many individuals—especially busy professionals, caregivers, and those managing high levels of daily stress—telehealth offers a more accessible and sustainable way to engage in therapy. Eliminating commute times, offering flexible scheduling, and creating space for therapy within one’s own environment are some of the key benefits that make this format so appealing and feasible. Clients often report that attending sessions from the comfort and privacy of their home or office allows them to be more consistent and open in the therapeutic process.

Telehealth is also particularly beneficial for:

  • Parents or caregivers who have limited availability or childcare options

  • Professionals with demanding or unpredictable work schedules

  • Clients in rural or underserved areas with limited access to specialty providers

  • Individuals experiencing burnout or anxiety, for whom attending in-person appointments can feel overwhelming

My practice uses a HIPAA-compliant video platform to ensure your privacy and security are fully protected. Sessions are conducted in a private, confidential space, just as they would be in a physical clinical office.

What My Clients Say:

Former client, high-functioning anxiety and perfectionism

"Working with Dr. Olson-Madden has changed how I relate to my anxiety. I used to feel consumed by worry and self-doubt, but no one would have known my internal battle because I was so good at being the perfect over-achiever. Now, I have the tools to slow down, breathe, and make choices that reflect who I want to be—not just the stories I told myself I'm supposed to be."
